Whitcoulls Top 100 Books List 2010 for Readers

Whitcoulls Bookshop have recently announced a new Whitcoulls Top 100 Books List for 2010 as voted by New Zealand readers. This year has some surprises in store with some additions, some omissions and a change to the number 1 position after some years. What a surprise to see the Lord of the Rings Trilogy toppled after 12 years in the number 1 slot on the list. To add insult to injury Tolkein's 'Lord of the Rings' Trilogy has been relegated to sixth place. While Stephanie Meyer's Twilight saga has assumed second spot and Audrey Niffenegger's The Time Traveller's Wife has leapt from 14th place to third. Books are always a welcome gift at Christmas. Used books are an affordable way to give books at Christmas regardless of your budget.
